God made a way for me to attend WOW! Conference!

I just want to share how God allowed me to attend and listen. I am attending the WOW! Conference online, while I am working from home as chat support. I know this seems to be a simple thing, but for me, it was big thing because usually during this time, it would be a busy time and it would be impossible for me not to get any chats at all. But God is the God of the impossible. Not a single chat came in, and after the message, and when the breaktime started, my chats started coming back!! Amazing! Thank You Lord!

God never fails

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us,

And establish the work of our hands for us;

Yes, establish the work of our hands.”

Psalm 90:17

I received a call that my husband, Caleb, had collapsed during staff meeting while praying for our missionaries in Pakistan. At the hospital, the neurologist diagnosed him with haemorrhage due to brain arteriovenous malformation. Providentially, his bleeding had stopped, and as the haemorrhage did not affect his physical condition, he was discharged after two weeks.

To our horror, we found him in a coma less than a week later. A shunt had to be inserted into his head to treat hydrocephalus, a side effect of his brain injury. It was a long road to recovery and I was 8 months pregnant with our second child.

During this time, we were reminded of a prophetic word given to us months before the injury. Our friend saw Caleb and me coming out of the wilderness, leaning on our Beloved, with Joshua our son and our baby girl in my arm. Our friend also shared that our girl would bring hope to those around her.

We were assured that God had gone before us and prepared the way ahead. We also decided to give Naomi (which means beauty/favour as found in our family verse) a middle name, Hope, as a reminder of how He came through for us. It has been nine years since the incident and we stand amazed at Him who never fails us. - By HG

I received a shocking phone call from my sister one Friday night as she told me that my dad was in coma. In tears, we thanked the Lord for giving us a good father and at the same time we released him to God if it was really God’s will for him to return to the Lord. I slept that night with such an assurance that God was in control.

As I was on my way to the office on Saturday, I asked the Lord what message does He want me to preach on? I heard this in my spirit very clearly, “Preach on the subject of “Peace As A Weapon”.

God’s peace is our weapon to stabilise our minds which could be full of fear, worries and unbelief.

A tremendous amount of grace and peace was released to my family. To this day, my dad is still alive, and we call him our walking miracle. All Glory to God! - By HM
